Dear Sir

Some time ago I sent
you a state of Mr Irwins case
& requested your answer &
opinion what was further
to be done towards relieving
his complaints; but have
yet received none. At this
season in particular I can
easily account for the delay,
your class, & extensive
practice can allow but
very little leisure. Mr.
Irwins impatience

[Page 2]

however renders it neces¬
sary for me to trouble you
again hoping you will
now be able to spare time
to transmit an immediate
answer. His situation con¬
tinues much the same as
it was when I wrote last.
The Itching seems to be more
severe & his sleep in the
night more disturbed
. He
rides out in the Carriage 8
or 10 miles every day & when
in the carriage is pretty
easy but getting out
finds himself very weak

[Page 3]

& low spirited. Inclosed
are two Notes in which Mr
Irwin begs you would
accept he would have sent
them inclosed in the last
letter but none were to
be procured in Town.

With kind wishes for
your health & happiness.

I am your humble servant
John Heysham
