For M rs Jane Webster

I impute your not having lost weight for
some time to the want of exercise & of cold bathing.
I think might have exercise within doors --
Shuttlecock; & walking for an hour or two in
a large room, in the forenoon.

Whenever the Season allows I advise you
to resume your exercise in the open air & if
quite free of your cough your cold bath beginning
with the Buxton bath & coming by degrees
to 50 of Fahrenheit.

These with the lowering of your Diet will
I hope give you both health & long life.
