Letter from Alexander Molison, concerning the case of Collector Burrow, who 'has at Different times observed some sensation before his Eyes like Lightning' and an 'opack body like a large fly' in his left eye, after getting cold returning home from the country eight days ago. He has been bled, blistered and had leeches applied. There is some pen-practice on the cover. 7 September 1787

Reply to Alexander Mollison, concerning Mr Burrow, the Collector of Customs at Port Glasgow. Cullen approves of the treatment given so far for his 'dazzlings' and 'musci [sic] volitantes'. In the postscript he advises that 'I formerly had dealings with Mr. Burrow know he is not a regular Payer, but now I shall depend upon you.' (Recipe is mirror-image on the back of the 2nd page, but also on a separate sheet on the next page).9 September 1787
